Yamaha m 40 review. Ive had various button advice many saying to stay with yamaha and maybe a c 2 c 4 or c 40 c 60c 70 options being the preferences. Im not an audiophile what is class a operation. They are huge and heavy beasts. Auto class a power and zero distortion rule are at the heart of the m 40 which provides a substantial 120 watts of power per channel.

I think that you can hook it up to the mmgs and enjoy it with no trouble. The smaller m 50 was introduced alongside. Read a review. I think they are from the mid 1980s.
I was poking around in my favorite thrift this afternoon and picked up a pair of yamaha m 45 amplifiers. First of all let me be clear that the yamaha c40 is very much a beginners guitar and im keeping that in mind as i write this review. Then there are the tube loyalists and anything from audiometer babies through to the skies the limit. Later replaced by the m 80 m 60 m 40 in 1984 all three with the added auto class a feature somewhat bigger looks plus even more available power.
The m 40 incorporated the finest yamaha amplifier technology offering an excellent combination of high power and high purity in a top performance audio amplification system. This review is for the yamaha m 40i also purchased this amplifier in the mid 80s and it has been going strong sincei have the amp hooked up to the yamaha c 40 preamp bo turntable and a set of dcm time frame 500s hooked to a canton passive subwoofer 1990s subwoofer. Forgot about them until i googled the picture for this thread. The 1 hour preconditioning of the yamaha m 50 at an output of 40 watts into 8 ohms followed by five minutes of full power resulted in a rather hot top cover above the transistor heat sinks. Anybody expecting a high quality guitar for a price this low is kidding themselves.
