Smoke Coming From Dashboard

Smoke coming from behind dash and through air vents.
Smoke coming from dashboard. I drove to my local shops went about my business returned home. I start my jeep up yesterday and idling just a minute or so and i notice smoke gently lingering out of my windshield defrost vent then also out of the side vents too. Looked around to see if i could see or smell anything nothing. The smoke came from the drivers side behind the steering wheel where the speed odometer and gas lights are.
If the smoke is more like steam and it causing mist in the vehicle then it may be a leaking heater core. The whole car can go up in minutes. If the heater core is leaking hot coolant into the interior then this will occur. Stinky white smoke from dashboard.
I was driving on the freeway when i heard a little noise like a pop and all of a sudden my gauge lights werent working and it smelled like something electrical was burning. Possibly a blower motor going bad or a blower resistor going out. Another possibility is something falling into the ductwork through the defroster vent landing on the resistor and becoming incinerated instantly. It didnt smell like smoke or like anything burningmelting so i just turned on the ac and you cant see it.
Was driving home and noticed some puffs of white smoke coming fron in between my dash and windshield on the drivers side and smelt of burnt electrical stuff. And find the cause. A fire in a car is nothing to screw around with. Dash in that area was cool.
I pulled over and shut the car off. About half a mile from home i smelt an awful smell kinda chemically burning smell. The next day the whole car died. And smoke means fire.
Smoke coming from dashboard. Turned the car off checked under the hood nothing was burning under the hood. I am so worried about my poor car and still shaking from the experience. Smoke coming from the dash can come from a number of places.
Checked the fuses nothing out of the ordinary there. Turned the car back on and there was no smoke or odor. Rear the dashboard apart and start the car. Without being there to pull the steering column and instrument cluster to inspect the wiring.
With a fire extinguisher nearby. If there is a sweat smell then that is another indication of the problem. Smells acrid like buring plastic. Anyone have any idea as to what could be going on here.
