Is Kia A Reliable Brand

In the past few years kia have consistently appeared in dependability lists from a variety of different sources.
Is kia a reliable brand. Very reliable in fact. Porsche buick infiniti and kia rounded out. Kia like its sister company hyundai is known for its excellent warranty. Kiahyundai have come a loooooooooong way since even the early 2000s nevermind the 90s.
Five years or 60000 miles for the basic warranty and 10 years or 100000 miles for the powertrain. Its not surprising then that the brand would receive above average predicted reliability scores for many of its models. Its cars were a reliable fixture at the bottom of the jd. Kia just accomplished something no automaker has done in 27 years.
Still the fiat brand remained toward the bottom of the list with 174 problems reported per 100 vehicles. The industry average was 105 problems per 100 vehicles an improvement over last years 112. Thats changed a lot in recent years as the korean brand has started producing head turning cars that could easily be mistaken for luxury models. A lot of people still think kia makes cheap dowdy looking cars. In the most recent reliability survey from consumer reports subaru came it at number five up from seven last year.
The telegraph put them at number 3 out of 20 for the most reliable car brands of 2017 with just 80 problems per 100 vehicles.
