Car Turns Off When Stopped At Light

This is all monitored by the idle air control valve.
Car turns off when stopped at light. Your car seems to when the engine rpm drops below the normal range of 750 800 rpm for most cars this may indicate a dirty or faulty idle air control valve. Increasingly though new cars will turn themselves off when idling at stop lights in stalled traffic and anywhere else when the vehicle is still whether for 10 seconds or an hour. Then sometimes after the car was sitting over night in the garage it wouldnt start without me flooring the gas pedal. Sometimes it would just stop while at red lightsbut not all the timejust once or twice a month.
Its sporadic i have had since may 07 and its a 1999 but its only stalled about 6 times. For the last one month it is having a problem. When you accelerate the engine rpm increases and as you let off the gas the rpm slowly returns to the normal idling speed. There has been one instant when it turned off when i was at a stop light multiple other times it was close to turning off but did not actually turn off. Yes the battery light actually only goes on when the car stalls once i put it in park and then restart it always restarts no problem and all instrument lights turn off. I simply restarted the car back again and drive off and it seems to drive fine afterwards.
The technology will shut down the cars engine when the vehicle is stopped at red lights or in traffic jams. Hi everyone i have a nissan sentra 1997. It would always start right back up when this happened. I believe its the idling of the car when it does this.
When youre stuck at a red light in a traffic jam or ordering at the drive through your car is wasting gas while not moving. At that time your top priorities should be the safety for you and other people driving on the road.
